Women highlight their own poverty in PEI exhibit

A photography exhibit opened Thursday night at Charlottetown's Confederation Centre of the Arts, featuring photographs by women living near or below the poverty line.

The photos are accompanied by commentaries from the photographers. They feature diverse subjects, such as family life, making decisions between food and medicine, and dying in poverty.

The show will be up at Confederation Centre until next Thursday morning. The photos will remain available on the Women's Network web site.
