Doctor fights for for patients living in poverty

Dr. Wong, a specialist in community medicine, is being investigated after a complaint by a city councillor for signing special diet forms for people on welfare. Dr. Wong has been involved in special diet clinics for patients after Mike Harris cut back benefits by more than 25 per cent. He says, "Poverty is pervasive, and we know that poverty is the major determinant of health. Given that, can we just let it go on? You realize this whole thing is brought against me by politicians - not patients."
